Meet the Director

Hi my name is Julie,
I have only recently returned to Early Childhood after working in Training and Education for twelve years. I have eleven years’ experience in Early Childhood and have worked with several centres across Gippsland. My qualifications consist of an Advanced Diploma of Children's Services and Certificate IV in Training and Education.
I’m passionate about education and believe we learn, grow and develop individually at any age and stage. Providing a nurturing and safe environment allows our children, families, educators and the wider community to positively influence everyone's growth and development. I have extensive experience in leadership and mentoring, having undertaken leadership programs within Gippsland and Melbourne University. Positive role modelling, teamwork and communication are important beliefs I hold as they set the foundations of our service. This allows for a safe, effective, efficient environment for children, families, educators and others who engage with our service.
Establishing and building connections with families commences from the time they first contact our service. Families feel a sense of belonging from day one and it is imperative to develop trust and respectful relationships to understand their child’s needs. Children’s wellbeing, developmental goals and interests should always be nurtured within an inclusive and supportive environment.

Situated on the main road of Drouin, our Princes Way Service is purposely built to provide a sense of connection for all children and families throughout the seven spacious and light-filled rooms. Each room overlooks the beautifully landscaped playground providing endless opportunities for learning and development promoted by children’s choice, interests, and imagination.

This stunning 149 place service provides educational programs for children from 6 weeks of age, including 3 and 4 year old kindergarten. Our qualified and experienced team of educators provides calming and nurturing environments and develops programs in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. Empowering children to explore their world through interest based learning incorporating the wider community including incursions and excursions.

Families feel a sense of belonging from our team, engaging daily to build trusting, nurturing, and respectful relationships. Forming these relationships allows us to support each family in their transition to our service.
