Meet the Director

Hi! My name is Jules, I am the centre director at Traralgon.

I began at Little Saints when we first opened our Traralgon service in 2018 in the kitchen. At the time I was the centre cook and set the kitchen up. I had made a difficult decision later that year to go back to the hospitality industry, as I had spent the previous 10 years of my career as a Chef. In 2020, during COVID, I returned to the kitchen here at Little Saints. During that time, I was involved in creating nutritional meals, menus and importing the menu into the Healthy Eating Advisory. I was then given the opportunity to do a shared position as the Assistant Director in 2021, before becoming a full-time Assistant Director in 2022. In this role, I decided to complete a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care.

In 2024, I was offered a secondment as the Centre Director, which then become a permanent position in 2025.

In this time my passion for Early Learning began. I believe in children having the opportunity to learn and grow through play. Here at our Traralgon service we highly encourage messy play, whether that be jumping in puddles, activities in the classroom or through Imaginative play.

I have 2 children, who are 9 years old and 5 years old. Our family has a love for camping, supporting each other in sports, and spending quality time with our family and friends.

Situated in the newly developed area of Traralgon, this beautifully designed service educates 100 children each day through 5 spacious and light-filled classrooms, with an onsite kitchen team providing delicious allergy friendly and nutritious meals.

Connections with the community are valued within this service and children and educators take every opportunity to engage with the world around them; through community walks around the service neighbourhood, engaging in both dance and sport programs across the service. Our kindergarten program provides a ‘Bush Kinder’ experience over terms 2 & 3 as well as engaging with the local libraries and emergency services.

All of our programs are linked with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and collaborate with families to achieve children’s individual learning goals. Families have ongoing access to their children’s learning via the EDUCA app and are encouraged to share with us their educational experiences from home.
